ABA THERAPY SERVICES

Here's what you can expect from our ABA Therapy Services:​

  • Client Intake Process:

    • Intake/Referral

      • Online Client Intake Questionnaire

      • Copy of Autism diagnostic report

      • Copy of insurance information

      • Copy of IEP if applicable

      • Agreement to policies and procedures for services

      • Initial intake meeting with BCBA​

    • Standardized Assessment

      • ​Vineland Online Questionnaire

        • Sent at the same time as the policies and procedures paperwork

      • Selected and administered by BCBA​​

    • Observation of Client 

      • Across environments: home, school, daycare and community

    • Eligibility for Services

      • ​An autism spectrum diagnosis and evidence to support how ABA would lessen or improve the impact of the symptoms of autism for the individual is needed to demonstrate medical necessity for ABA treatment through insurance.

      • Breakdown of recommended services​

        • Caregiver support/training​ and collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

        • Direct 1-1 Therapy by Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

          • Based on evaluation, can range between 5-35 hours /wk

        • Ongoing assessment, supervision, progress monitoring, protocol modification and collaboration with other service providers by BCBA.

        • ​Decrease problematic behavior by increasing functional language skills and teaching replacement behaviors.

        • Focus is on skill acquisition, emotional regulation, and building connection

        • Ensuring dignity and respect for clients is maintained at all times

        • We believe in teaching autonomy and assisting each unique child to live the lives they were created to live

        • We AVOID punishment procedures, forced-physical prompting, planned ignoring, asserting control, demanding eye contact, drill teaching and prevention of stem behaviors. We do not work to eliminate stimming behaviors unless they pose a danger to the client
